Ph.D. positions

1-2 Ph.D. student positions are available for enrollment in Spring or Fall 2025. Applicants should hold a B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Robotics, Material Science, Chemistry or related fields. Highly qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for the Ph.D. program in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at HKU and indicate your interest in working with Prof. Yang Xu in the application. All admitted Ph.D. students will be fully supported by either the Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS), the HKU Presidential Ph.D. Scholar Programme (HKU-PS), or the Postgraduate Scholarships (PGS).
