Postdoctoral positions

Prof. Yang Xu is seeking highly creative and self-motivated postdoctoral research fellows in the broad areas of additive manufacturing, robotics, micro-mechatronics, machine learning, computer graphics, and polymer chemistry. Ph.D. positions

1-2 Ph.D. student positions are available for enrollment in Spring or Fall 2025. Applicants should hold a B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Robotics, Material Science, Chemistry or related fields. Highly qualified applicants are encouraged to apply for the Ph.D. program in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at HKU and indicate your interest in working with Prof. Yang Xu in the application. All admitted Ph.D. students will be fully supported by either the Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS), the HKU Presidential Ph.D. Scholar Programme (HKU-PS), or the Postgraduate Scholarships (PGS). During his Ph.D. and Postdoc periods, Prof. Yang Xu has guided and collaborated with over 20 graduate and undergraduate students, many of whom have gone to become Ph.D. students at various universities. Please see here.
